Terms of Service

The rules for using rtemmy.com.ng, your wallet and our services.

Last updated: 18 October 2026

About these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and RTEMMYTECH of No 326, Agbokojo street, Oke-bola road, Ibadan , which operates rtemmy.com.ng (the “Platform”). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to use the Platform.

Our services

Through the Platform we offer:

  • airtime and data for MTN, Airtel, Glo and 9mobile;
  • electricity bill payments;
  • cable TV subscription payments;
  • examination PINs;
  • airtime-to-cash conversion;
  • NIN and BVN related services;
  • wallet funding, including automatic funding; and
  • an API for approved resellers and developers.

We act as an intermediary between you and the network operators, electricity distribution companies, cable TV providers and other third parties that supply the underlying services. Available services, plans and prices may change.

Your account

  • You must give accurate, complete and current information and keep it up to date. We may ask you to verify your identity before or after you start using the Platform.
  • Keep your password, transaction PIN and API token secret. You are responsible for all activity carried out with them.
  • Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
  • Each person should hold only one account unless we agree otherwise.

Your wallet

  • Your wallet is a prepaid balance used only to buy services on the Platform. It is not a bank account, it does not earn interest, and it is not a deposit protected by deposit insurance.
  • Automatic funding credits your wallet after we receive confirmation of your payment. Delays can happen because of banks and payment processors. Contact us with your payment reference if your wallet is not credited.
  • Funding charges, if any, will be shown before you pay.
  • Requests to withdraw unused wallet balance are subject to identity verification, our policies and any applicable charges, and only granted solely on our discretion after review.

Orders, pricing and delivery

  • Check before you pay. You are responsible for entering the correct network, phone number, meter number, smartcard or IUC number, amount and other details. Once a service has been delivered to the details you entered, it cannot be reversed.
  • Prices shown at checkout apply to that purchase. We may change prices at any time.
  • Delivery time depends on our providers. Each transaction will show a status of successful, pending or failed.
  • Pending means we are waiting for a final response. Please check your transaction history before trying again, so you are not charged twice.

Failed transactions and refunds

  • If a transaction fails, the amount is returned to your wallet, normally automatically.
  • Pending transactions are resolved once the provider confirms the final status. If it fails, you will be refunded; if it succeeds, it will be treated as delivered.
  • If you think a transaction was handled wrongly, contact us at rtemmycare@gmail.com with the transaction reference as soon as possible, and within 08061686338 days of the transaction.
  • Airtime, data, electricity tokens, cable TV subscriptions and exam PINs that have been delivered are not refundable, including where you entered wrong details.
  • Nothing in this section limits any right you have under Nigerian consumer protection law.

Service-specific terms

  • Airtime and data: plans, validity and usage are governed by the network operator’s own terms. Data bundle balances, expiry and speeds are controlled by the operator.
  • Electricity: tokens are issued by the distribution company’s system. Wrong meter numbers or disco selection are the customer’s responsibility, and delays or outages on the disco’s side are outside our control.
  • Cable TV: activation depends on the provider. Verify the smartcard or IUC number and the bouquet before payment.
  • Exam PINs: a PIN is non-refundable once it has been delivered or displayed. Check usage rules with the examination body.
  • Airtime to cash: you may only convert airtime that you own and have lawfully obtained. Rates, minimums and processing times are shown when you submit a request and may change. We may reject or reverse any request that appears fraudulent or unlawful, and we pay out only to a verified account in your name.
  • NIN and BVN services: you confirm that you are the data subject or have their consent and lawful authority to use the service. Results, approvals and timelines are determined by the relevant authority and its systems, not by us, and we cannot guarantee any outcome. You must give accurate details and genuine supporting documents. Fees for a request already submitted to the relevant authority are not refundable unless the failure was caused by us.

Prohibited conduct

You must not use the Platform to:

  • commit fraud, launder money, fund terrorism or carry out any unlawful activity, including offences under the Cybercrimes Act;
  • fund your wallet with money or airtime obtained unlawfully;
  • impersonate another person or submit another person’s NIN, BVN or documents without authority;
  • abuse referral or promotional offers, including by creating accounts to refer yourself;
  • interfere with, scrape, overload, probe or reverse engineer the Platform; or
  • resell our services in breach of these Terms or our API rules.

We may report suspected unlawful activity to law enforcement and cooperate with investigations.

Resellers and API users

  • Use the API only as described in our API documentation. Your API token is confidential and you are responsible for every request made with it.
  • Handle transaction statuses correctly. In particular, treat a pending transaction as pending and not as failed.
  • You are responsible for your own customers, their support and their personal data, and for complying with data protection and other laws.
  • We may apply rate limits and may suspend or revoke API access at any time to protect the Platform or in case of misuse.

Referrals and promotions

Referral rewards, discounts and promotions are offered at our discretion and may be changed or ended at any time. We may withhold or reverse rewards obtained through abuse or breach of these Terms.

Suspension and termination

  • We may suspend or close your account, or refuse a transaction, if we suspect fraud, unlawful activity or breach of these Terms, or if the law requires.
  • Funds linked to suspicious activity may be held while we investigate or until a lawful authority directs otherwise.
  • You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Any remaining wallet balance will be handled after verification and settlement of any outstanding matters.

Availability and third parties

The Platform depends on third-party networks, banks and providers. We aim to keep it available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. We may carry out maintenance, and we are not responsible for failures or delays caused by third parties or events beyond our reasonable control.

Intellectual property

The Platform, its name, logo, design and content belong to us, our web developer or our licensors. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Platform for its intended purpose. You may not copy or exploit it otherwise without our written consent.

Our responsibility to you

  • We provide the Platform with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we do not give other warranties.
  • To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or loss caused by incorrect details you entered, third-party failures, or your failure to keep your credentials safe.
  • Our total liability for any claim relating to a transaction is limited to the amount of that transaction.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Nigerian law.

Indemnity

You agree to compensate us for losses, claims and costs that arise from your breach of these Terms, your unlawful use of the Platform, or personal data or documents you submit without proper authority.

Complaints and dispute resolution

  • Contact us first at rtemmycare@gmail.com. We will try to resolve your complaint within a reasonable time.
  • If we cannot resolve it within 08061686338 days, either of us may refer the dispute to arbitration under the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023.
  • Nothing in this section stops you from complaining to a regulator such as the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), or from going to a court where the law gives you that right.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the new version on this page with a new “last updated” date. If you keep using the Platform after the change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.

General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us on their subject.
